Basic English IV involves the reading from a variety of genres in British and world literature, analyzing literary forms and interpreting the influence of history. English IV composition emphasizes informative, persuasive, and literary discourse, which demonstrates sophisticated syntax and vocabulary. Students use technology to produce error free text and research with documentation. Students present and critique oral communications that include visuals and other media. Students will use the writing process and available technology to produce a variety of written communications especially those used in professional settings such as business letters, applications, resumes, and inquiries.
